The special exhibition „Letters and texts – Gems of Poets autographs from the German literature of the 18th and 19th century – From a private Liechtenstein collection“ shows a collection of hand-written and signed letters from 16 poets, including Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Friedrich Schiller, Jeremias Gotthelf, Gerhart Hauptmann and Rainer Maria Rilke.

Autographs - documents transcribed entirely in the handwriting of the author – are important witnesses. A particular appeal is added through the content and/or of the person who wrote them. Autographs of famous people are especially desirable. They are small authentic fragments of that person. Autographs are often associatied with letters. And so it is, with pleasure that we can show these contemporary witnesses in the Postal museum.
